About Me

Hi, my name is Linh-ly and I’m so glad you’re here.

A little bit about me:

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies at HCU in 2020. In May of 2023, I earned my Master’s of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. I have worked in private practice settings providing mental health counseling services to children, teenagers and adults.

In my free time, I enjoy visiting coffee shops, sipping an iced vanilla latte or a dirty chai, and reading as well as spending quality time with my family and friends.

Therapy with me:

The therapy room is a place FOR YOU. Whether you’re struggling with life changes, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or if you want to get to know yourself better, or maybe you don’t even know yet. My priority in the therapy room is for you to feel seen and heard, whatever stage of life you are at. Your feelings and struggles are valid and you deserve a space to explore them, safely and without judgment. I am merely a support for you; sometimes guiding, sometimes offering insight but always listening and acting in your best interest. If there is one thing I want my clients to take away from sessions and therapy, it is this: you are not alone and you are more capable than you know.

What I do:

I enjoy working with teenagers and adults struggling with various issues including anxiety, depression, daily life stressors, life transitions, self-esteem issues, family conflict, disordered eating, body image issues, and other issues. I have a special interest in working with Asian populations and other marginalized identities. I use an eclectic approach to work collaboratively with my clients to ensure they are getting what they need from therapy. I utilize person-centered therapy as well as a variety of techniques from treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing.
